This week I sat down with Robert Moseley and asked him some questions about interior design. Robert is the owner and designer of House of Moseley, and began his interior design career when he was just 20 years old. Robert started RM Interiors in 1994 and has been in business for 31 years now!
What does interior design mean to you?
Interior Design to me is a feeling. It's a lifestyle, it's how we live in our homes, and how we raise our children. Truly making a house a home.
What do you love about working at HOM?
First of all, it's the people. I love all of our customers and clients, without them I wouldn't be able to do what I love.
I am also very thankful for my staff, we are like a one big family. But, House of Moseley is a reflection of me and I am so blessed to have a happy place.
What is your favorite design style or trend right now?
My favorite trend is... white! It never goes out of style!
What is it about this trend that you love?
I love that white gives a clean, refreshing look.
You can do anything with white, it's timeless.
We all watch trends, and it doesn't matter how "hot" it is. It just needs to speak to YOU.
What brand do you love the most in store and why?
Just one? MacKenzie-Childs is my WOW, but Mariposa. It is always the perfect gift and price point. Oh, and Nest Fragrances.. I have to have their candles and diffusers in my home at all times.
MacKenzie-Childs Barware accessories and glassware to serve up my favorite cocktails at home.
Nest Fragrances Bamboo Collection is my go-to scent. It's refreshing and not overpowering. Guests are always commenting on how good my home smells.
What is your favorite item(s) in store right now?
I am smitten with Regina Andrew Chandelier called Nimbus. It is currently displayed in our showroom over a dining table and it is just BEAUTIFUL! It is a must see in person!
Stay tuned for next week's series when we see what inspires our web administrator, Gabe!
