With the Fourth of July being less than a week away, it's time to start planning your get together with friends and family. There's nothing more American than a classic BBQ! If you're like the most of us, we like the idea of keeping things classic and grilling on this patriotic holiday. Fourth of July is all about the good things in life... spending quality time with the family, fireworks, good food, and all topped off with a healthy dose of American history. We have a few ideas on how to throw a festive and fabulous, yet simple Fourth!
ANYTHING patriotic colored and you can never have too many American Flags. Mini flags make great for centerpieces, can be placed in jars, or placed in the ground around in the front or backyard. Giant flags make good for back drops, where you place your buffet table or to be placed over your garage door.
For a backyard BBQ, you want to keep your table setting as simple as you can. And KID FRIENDLY!

This Sparkling Red White and Blue Sangria is super easy to make, full of fresh and delicious flavors, and its the perfect drink to celebrate the 4th of July. Guaranteed to be the hit of your patriotic party!

1 Bottle of white wine

2 Cups of fresh blueberries

1 Cup of fresh raspberries

1 Cup of apple juice or white grape juice

1 lb. of fresh strawberries, hulled & sliced

1 Bottle of champagne (or any variety of sparkling white wine)

3 - 4 Granny smith apples

Stir together white wine, blueberries, raspberries, strawberries and apple juice together in a large pitcher. Cover & refrigerate for 1 to 4 hours, so that the flavors can meld. (The longer the mixture sits, the more red it'll become.)

When you're ready to serve the sangria gradually stir in the champagne, apples and ice. Serve immediately.

Lettuce Wrap Cheeseburgers

Juicy Cheeseburgers are as American as apple pie! These cheeseburger lettuce wraps is an easy place for some of us to cut the carbs out. Like most of us at House of Moseley, we are always counting our carbs! LOL!

1 Lb. ground beef

Season salt

Lemon pepper

Garlic salt

Worcestershire sauce

Leaves green lettuce (choose the biggest leaves from the head of lettuce!)

Cheese slices

Pickles or relish

Ketchup & mustard

Thinly sliced onions

Thinly sliced tomatoes

Mixed ground beef with seasonings and Worcestershire sauce. Let sit in the fridge for few hours. Grill over medium high, heat until medium well. A minute before hamburgers are done add cheese and continue to cook for one minute.

Lay lettuce leaf down first, then cheeseburger. Add your favorite toppings that you like on your cheeseburger. And then wrap lettuce leaf around cheeseburger then BOOM! You have a delicious easy Lettuce Wrap Cheeseburger ready to be served.
